Background
J. Edsel Edmunds is the former Ambassador of St Lucia to the UN, OAS, and US. He is a scientist with a BSA. in Agronomy, MSc in Plant Pathology, and PhD in Nematology. He is a published poet with a book of ninety nine poems and poetic contributions to various anthologies, and an artist with invitational exhibits in the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean.
His poetry and works of art are his silent reflections over a period of over four decades. His productions are unique in their transformation of things of nature to new forms, shapes, and meaning. The use of ice, humus, and aluminum foil and the capturing of abandoned driftwood giving new life are all manifested in his poetry and art with a detectable scientific fevor and profound preoccupation with human nature. His works of art are in collections in the Caribbean, USA, Canada, Europe and Africa.
